CAN I GET A PART TIME JOB HERE?

I AM CURRENTLY IN COLLEGE, DOING DISTANCE LEARNING. I AM A SECOND YEAR BA COMMUNICATION STUDENT. THE REASON WHY I AM HERE IS THAT I WANT TO HAVE A SOURCE OF INCOME WHILE DOING MY SCHOOL RELATED ACTIVITIES. THIS I BELIEVE IS THE BEST THING SO I COULD MAKE MONEY. IM ACTUALLY PLANNING TO PURCHASE A CAMERA TO FLOURISH MY PASSION AND LOVE TO FILM. MY PARENTS COULD NOT PROVIDE ME THAT, FOR THE REASON OF LOW INCOME, SO I NEED TO LOOK FOR AN AVENUE WHERE I CAN MAKE MONEY. #money #business #social-media #studentassistance

Paul’s Answer

When I was in college I had multiple part-time jobs that had absolutely nothing to do with my major. My major was Economics but I worked at Domino's Pizza, I was a cashier at a card store, a waiter at a restaurant and I worked at UPS for a short time loading the trucks. I took these jobs not because they would help me with Economics but I needed cash in my pocket to buy food when I didn't want to eat in the cafeteria, buy tickets for parties and just have fun hanging out. So I would suggest that if you just need a source of income to support yourself, try the local businesses in your area. The diners, coffee shops, grocery stores, home improvement, etc.

While this site is not intended for job searches, you can definitely get good advice on what your next steps should be. Good luck!

Verizon has quite a few positions where you can work from home, go to school, and still make money. And, it may be a way to get into the door and possibly use your degree in our advertising/marketing department! I'm not sure how far our positions reach out outside the US, check out verizonwireless.com/jobs and see if there is anything to get you in the door.

My advise is you will probably start out in something that is not related to what you are currently studying , BUT if you stick with it, the credibility you build with the company paired with your education will get you where you need to be. Best of luck!
