Marketing is a great area of business to pursue. Every company, big and small, needs employees focused on marketing and selling their products or services. I'd suggest exploring why marketing is important, what roles are out there, and what skills you need to get an internship or entry-level job.

Hello Donovan C., I believe marketing would be an excellent career choice depending on your interests and passion. First off, I believe it is very important to select and prepare for a career that you have a strong interest in and one that lines up with your strengths. Job markets will vary by industry, but most companies seek people for positions in marketing. The marketing department is key to a company's success so that it can differentiate itself in the market from competitors.

Marketing is such a great career path. No matter what company you work for there will always be a marketing team. Some companies will also internal and external marketing teams. There are several avenues within the marketing umbrella - copy, creative, strategy, budget, etc.

Hi Donovan. I agree with the others that marketing is a great career area to pursue. Things to consider as you prepare for a future career in marketing - writing, social media, new digital tools and trends, pay attention to interesting campaigns that brands you love (and don't love) do. All of this helps build your knowledge and if you find these things interesting, marketing may be the right path for you!
