Hi Piarra!

I am currently a second year college student studying elementary and special education! When it comes to some of the benefits of special education, for me, it’s the same that comes with any teaching. You get to work with students and continuously help them grow and make connections both educationally and socially. You get the chance to be a mentor and directly help them learn. You must have patience and be understanding because these things may not come easily, but in the end, knowing you’ve impacted your student/s is a reward in itself!

Mario’s Answer

The best part of being a special education teacher would be to see progress and accomplishments on a daily basis. I personally feel people with a tremendous amount of patience that is driven by on-going challenge.
