How much does mechanical engineering provide with?

I never really cared for how much I would be making with mechanical engineering, but it does make me wonder. Is this the kind of career that would be given a huge salary at an entry level or would it gradually get higher over time. #mechanical-engineering #money #salary #entry-level #financial-planning

Definitely depends on where you work and who you work for. If you go into a more technical area, say engine development or medical devices, you can make a lot to start. if you keep improving your skills and qualifications and are good with people, you will continue to make more. Many times salary is location dependent, check out some of the salary calculators like payscale.com for a better idea.

Derek’s Answer

When you specialize in engineering you pay increases, so aerospace and electrical engineers make more money. The down side is the jobs for electrical and aerospace can vary and are location specific. My favorite part of mechanical engineering is that I can go anywhere and get a job.
