You should definitely set up a Facebook page or social platform to advertise your photography. Offer a few free cheap sessions to friends and family to build your portfolio and then start booking clients.
Sponsor your page for very little on LinkedIn, run promotions so people share like and view your page and photos.
Make sure your prices are on or with other photographers in your area.

If you are a novice photographer- offer your help to a pro for these events and learn the trade before starting your own.
