Hi Nathan,
My parents were both in business since I was little. I have seen them put their best into their business, worked hard and made sacrifices. To be successful in business, consider the following: engage in something you are passionate about, do your research (SWOT Analysis), learn about saving, investing, loans and ledgers, be ready to put in a lot of hours, be hands-on and sharpen your people skills. You will be dealing with customers, employees, partners and vendors. EQ is as important as IQ.

To be a businessman means to know your business, know your value and be discriminating in your taste.
Be smart. Book smarts are good, but street smarts are just as good. Work ethic is paramount, so work hard. Create relationships you can leverage throughout your career and be authentic.
