Silkia’s Answer

Hello! Most of the time foreign doctors do have to complete at least a US Residency Program to be able to practice in the United States. Regarding the pay, neurosurgeons in US are very well paid, it also depends if you have a sub specialty within neurosurgery and if you are Board Certified for example. Depending on what you would like to specialize and the amount of work and pay you would like to have you can explore and compare what are the benefits and disadvantages of working in a public hospital, teaching hospitals or private ones. Usually in public hospitals the pay could be less than on a private one. As a doctor with a specialty like neurosurgery you can work or have privileges to practice in multiple hospitals (within the same State, or City) unless you have a contract that requires the opposite. As a neurosurgeon you can also be a University or College Professor.

My advise will be that you can contact any Med School in US and they should be able to advise in what you will need to be able to practice in US.
