I think you should look into trying to do a job shadow. This would be a great way to learn about what the job actually looks like. When job shadowing, it can often be stressful, I remember being nervous about it, but you should try to go in with an open mind. You're just there to learn, and no one expects anything from you.

You will also be able to talk to one or more people who took the path you're interested in. They might have really specific, good advice on how to get a job in the field. Try to come prepared with some questions you have!
