Marisol’s Answer

Hi Melody, I have not had complete pediatric experience but I have worked in postpartum. The babies are not older than 3 days. I suggest having Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. I would also suggest having Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as well. Any Courses you may find that you think might help are also good. I suggest look up pediatric RN jobs and see what the minimum requirements. That may give you an idea of what is required at minimum to apply. Best wishes on your nursing journey !

Carolyn’s Answer

If you are not yet a nurse and want to apply to pediatric hospitals/ units, you should have previous experience working with children (in any and all capacity), a fun and energetic personality that children can get along with well, and an expressed interest in working with children.

Bailey’s Answer

I am not a pediatric nurse but I have taken care of pediatrics through the operating room. I would suggest getting a your PALS. I think that would be beneficial for a pediatric resume.
