I had an interest in becoming a veterinarian when I was very young as well. It was a long road and many years of school but it is possible to achieve the goal. At this point, the best is to focus on your studies, especially science and math classes, but also try to get some experience in the field so that you can fully understand what the career involves (and it can also be good on your resume and college applications) - at this age, you could volunteer at animal shelters or possibly even at a veterinary clinic.

Hi there,

Becoming a veterinarian is very competitive, but, follow your DREAMS!!! You are still young, for now focus on getting through high-school, doing well on your SAT/ACT, getting into a great college that possibly has a vet program. If vet school is too long, or you just change your mind, there is plenty of opportunities to work with animals.
For example: vet tech, marine biologist, zoo keeper
