Hi Rachel,
Starting a vending machine business is a smart move. You'll be able to make money in your sleep. You do have to refill the machine often though but as long as you keep a record of the machines you have and how often you refill them, you can do it.

Char recommends the following next steps:

Decide which products you want to sell in the machine. For example, you could sell regular snacks, healthy snacks, coffee, dog treats, or hygiene products.
Find the best location to set up your machine. Remember to match the location with the products. Think about the people who will be at the locations and ask yourself would they buy the products. For example, setting up a machine with dog treats at a veterinarian office is a good idea, but setting it up at a dental office is not.
Pick the right type of machine. Machines that only accept credit cards might do well on a college campus but not at an elementary school.
Talk to the owners of the schools/offices/locations first to see if they will let you put a machine in their building. They may want a certain percentage of your sales.
Save up money and shop for vending machines by doing a simple online search. Start with just one and see how you do. If you do well, you can buy more. Then you can start hiring other people to refill them for you!
