DENNIS’s Answer

Hi Aiden: Most of the time a case gets to the DA after the police have made an arrest. The DA then investigates the case to see what is true and what can be proven. Remember, just because someone said something happened does not mean the DA can prove it happened. Witnesses are questioned; fingerprints checked; DNA (if possible) collected. The DA then puts together a step by step case to show the jury why there is no doubt the defendant did it!
