Hello, at 13yrs old you have to take a different approach to earning some income. However, because of your age you would not be able to make a huge profit in 1yr. First I would ask my parent or caregiver for an allowance see if there are any chores outside of the norm they would pay you for. Second check with family members/friends that need help cleaning, help with yard work, or help babysitting for a fee. Lastly, you can always ask an adult you trust to supervise you as you sell some homemade goodies ex. Lemonade stand” “bake sell”. Wait until legal age of 14yrs to obtain a permit and find work. Great to see you are ambitious to get out there and start working for the things you want in life. Best of luck to you!

Yes, there are jobs at this age but due to the law restrictions the age to work is higher. It’s better to consult with your adult network and school teacher if possible jobs in your area. I recommend researching skills needed in the job you fill you are qualified to want to do.

Hello! Yes, there are jobs you can get at 13. The opportunities aren't as plentiful, so you'll need to be more out-of-the-box and non-conventional. Laws around working age usually depend by state. In Tennessee, official jobs and wages require 14 years of age and limit the number of hours to only work 3 hours per day until they are 16. If you are close to 14 years of age, that will be a great first step into acquiring a job.

One idea I've used myself is get involved with your local community. You can offer doing work for a small business or a family in return for some money. Think of dog-sitting or window cleaning. Here are some ideas I've came up with:

Babysitting. This is a great way to earn money while also helping out your neighbors or community members. You can start by babysitting for your own family and friends, and then expand your reach to other people in your area.
Lawn mowing and gardening. If you're handy with a lawnmower or garden tools, you can offer your services to your neighbors or local businesses. This is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air, and you can earn some good money in the process.
Dog walking. If you love dogs, this is a great way to spend your time and earn some money. You can start by walking dogs for your own family and friends, and then expand your reach to other people in your area.
House sitting or pet sitting. If you're responsible and trustworthy, you can offer your services to house sit or pet sit for people who are going away on vacation. This is a great way to earn some extra money and have a unique experience.
Tutoring. If you're a good student, you can offer your tutoring services to other students in your school or community. This is a great way to help others and earn some money at the same time.
Car washing. If you're willing to work hard, you can earn some good money washing cars. You can start by washing cars for your own family and friends, and then expand your reach to other people in your area.
Junior camp counselor. Many camps hire past attendees as junior counselors before they're old enough to serve as full-counselors. This is a great way to get experience working with kids and earn some money at the same time.
Newspaper delivery. This is a great way to earn some extra money and get some exercise. You can deliver newspapers in your neighborhood or community.
Actor or model. If you have a flair for the dramatic, you can try your luck as an actor or model. There are many opportunities for young people in these industries, and you could even land a national commercial or television show.
Technology guru. If you're tech-savvy, you can offer your services to help people with their computers, smartphones, or other electronic devices. This is a great way to earn some money and help others at the same time.

Some others I'll also put in: house cleaning, gardener, fence painter, tutoring, sports coach, camp counselor.

I hope this helps you kick start your journey to get those consoles and accessories you wanted!
