I think realizing the better you do in high school, the more options you have regarding college is a good start.
I’d recommend doing some research as you enter high school. Have an understanding of what colleges are looking for and how you can best position yourself (community service, esports, clubs,etc).
If you have a decent sense starting out, you’ll improve your odds of getting to where you want to be.

This approach gives you ample opportunity to develop your interests and assess if the initial path is a good fit for you. This is a great question! Simply answered, I would recommend that you start thinking about your future and/ or where you want to go once you are at the end of your junior year and going into your senior year. Along with that, I would recommend to step your foot into multiple areas if you say want to go to college. If you find that what you are currently in or studying does not satisfy and appeal to what you want to do in the future, then you can easily shift away from that one area and focus in another. In college, I knew that I wanted to focus my studies in general business. However, that is all I knew. After focusing my studies in multiple areas of business, I found my way into Human Resources where I currently am working in today. I received my MBA focusing specifically in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, and currently have a position as an Human Resources Administrator for a Sam's Club distribution and fulfillment center. You will never know what you like until you dip your foot in the water and tread through several areas!
Dimply put, you do not have to settle on the first major that you decide. You never know what you'll find until you step your foot out there and test the waters!

Hi, thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. You can think of it any time now but the latest is on your last high school year and before college applications.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Think about what you have interest, eg your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc and the related careers
Eg if you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical actor, music producer, music composer, etc
If you are interested in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, financial analyst, banker, maths teacher, etc
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek advice from your mentor, parents, school career counsellor, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college

There is never a time you will completely know what it is you want to do if you're unsure about it now. I say this because you will have things happen to you that switch your mindset, or new interests will evolve based on what you experience. If you're thinking you're unsure don't hesitate to pursue and become successful at every opportunity thrown your way. Be well rounded. It is better to know a little about a ton than it is to know a ton about a little, especially during these inconsistent times.
