Yaz’s Answer

There are different ways to find a job easily.

One way can just be printing out your resume/CV and going to different businesses and giving it to the hiring manager or owner there.
Another way can be to apply to jobs via LinkedIn or Indeed. Just be careful you read over the jobs as some job posts might be scams.
You can also check with your school to see if they have any partnered opportunities for you to grow your skills.

Try to make a nice CV that showcase all your qualifications well. This will be used for all job applications. You can also highlight skills based on the job you are applying to. If you have good communication skills or presentation skills this is very useful for the interview. Also confidence plays a key role specially during interviews. Having the necessary skills and qualifications are really important for getting particular job. To make it easy you can sign up on different websites that can notify you about the job openings. Having LinkedIn profile will be also very helpful. Often times making contacts does help to get certain jobs. So networking can make it easier too.

Joan’s Answer

Hello Riley,

It's wonderful to see your eagerness to broaden your abilities by seeking a part-time job.

A practical approach for a high school student to secure a part-time job is by exploring local possibilities within their vicinity. They can scrutinize job advertisements on community notice boards, local periodicals, or digital job platforms. They could also consult their school's guidance counselor for details regarding job openings tailored for high school students. Another alternative is to pursue internships or apprenticeships in their preferred area of interest. For instance, the Fred Hutchinson Summer High School Internship Program provides an eight-week, full-time compensated internship for high school students. This includes hands-on training in lab techniques and safety protocols, followed by supervised work in a research lab.

I trust this advice will be beneficial in your quest for a part-time job.
