An ATS creates opportunity to automate manual process, increase Visibility into the hiring cycle for the entire recruiting Team and increase opportunity for communication throughout the candidate journey. 78% of the recruiters using an ATS reports that it has improved the quality of the candidate they hire, so it gives you a picture that this is new norm for recruiters.

How to Beat the ATS.
1) Use industry - specific keywords and phrases throughout your resume. Always read carefully the qualifications, skills which are included by the recruiter, those are the keywords the ATS will search out.

Those who intend to use AI, Make sure your content is coherent, engaging and persuasive, and it has that human feeling, so that you captivate the reader when it does reach their inbox.
2) Select the right file type for your resume, eg PDF. Usually organization or recruiters request to send some documents, be careful when your sending, but most of them request in PDF form.

An ATS can include a machine-driven method of scanning resumes to process applications faster than humans can read them. Systems use algorithms or generative AI to sort candidates based on the incidence of key words or phrases appearing in a resume or profile. This is done as a way to select only the candidates whose profiles and skills are most closely aligned with a position description.

There is no way to ensure that your resume gets selected, but there are steps you can take to increase your chances of being selected. As you prepare to apply for any job, review the position description carefully. Note the key words and phrases that are essential to the role and edit your resume or profile, where possible, to describe the things you have done using those terms. While your experiences may not be exactly what a role demands, try to show an employer how what you have done is similar to the experience the role requires. Always be truthful, but understand that a machine is scanning your resume for key words similar to what is in the job description.

It might sometimes seem like your resume is being tossed into an abyss. But don't lose hope! My top recommendation is to establish a connection within the company. Networking is key. If the company uses an ATS system, explore their website or reach out to some of their employees on LinkedIn, particularly those who are in your desired role. Engage them in conversation, ask insightful questions, or even invite them for a casual lunch to gain insights about their daily work life. These individuals might offer a more straightforward application route. Even if they advise you to apply via the ATS system, at least you now have a company insider who can spotlight your resume or ensure it reaches the right hands. They might even provide a referral for you, which can significantly boost your chances. Remember, many companies incentivize their employees for successful referrals, so it's a win-win situation. Keep pushing forward, and success will find you!
