How can I access volunteer activities related to nursing?
Hi, I'm in 10th grade now. I plan to participate in some health care volunteer activities in 11th grade. But I don't know how to access them or the criteria I need to have to be accepted.

There are many volunteer opportunities at healthcare facilities such as a hospital or clinic. The volunteer coordinator of those places will be able to assist you in the application process :)

In your local area, you might find health fairs where your help could be invaluable. For instance, during my college days, I was part of a disaster preparation team. We were a group of at least 50 people, some of us students, some not. We would simulate catastrophic events like plane crashes or building explosions, dressed in makeup and fake wounds, acting as victims for the entire EMS program.
So, take a look around your community. There are bound to be areas where your interests align with volunteering opportunities. Embrace the chance to contribute and make a difference. You never know what exciting experiences await you!

Find out if your guidance or career counselor can make some calls on your behalf with some of the local hospitals to determine if you can come in and volunteer as a nurse's assistant after school or during the summer.
