About
I’m a working graphic designer passionate about mentoring aspiring creatives, especially those who may not have access to industry guidance. I believe great design is built through curiosity, consistency, and confidence, and I enjoy helping students understand both the creative and real-world sides of a design career.
Tiera’s Career Stories
How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?
I did not know all along. I started with a love for art and creativity, but it took time to understand how that could translate into a career. As I explored design, learned new tools, and gained real experience, things became clearer. Choosing my career was less about one big moment and more about paying attention to what I enjoyed and continuing to build on it.
What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?
I wish someone had told me that growth matters more than talent. You do not have to be perfect or have everything figured out to get started. Showing up consistently, practicing your skills, and being open to feedback will take you much further than waiting until you feel ready. Confidence comes after you begin, not before.
