Along with studying for a specific major, what type of internships or beginning job opportunities are best to get your foot in the door if you want to become a producer?

There are many different paths, but the one that worked for me was to start as a PA and then work my way through different departments. My goal was to have a working knowledge of what the key departments on a production do so I understand what they need and why. Other routes are working at an agency to learn the money/deal side, or at a production company as an assistant for a producer to learn directly from them.
