Amruta’s Answer

You will never know when you are ready to leave your home unless you actually leave your home. But if you really like the college and you want to study there, you should definitely go for it! This is going to make yourself proud and happy that you did it. And also if you really like this college, then you will definitely be able to adjust to the new surroundings. It depends on your interest and focus. It may be hard for the few days in the beginning, but once you adjust you are gonna like it there.

Amruta recommends the following next steps:

Mentally prepare yourself.
And if you really wanna study at this college, go for it!

Roshini’s Answer

I think its great you want to pursue higher education. Congratulations on your next step! Let me address the hardest part of this, you will never be ready to leave home. Home is where comfort and love is! Yes, its tough! I wont deny attending college far from home is tough but hey only tough get going! But the experience of living on your own, attending College is an exciting situation to be in!. I moved from India to USA (36hrs flight journey!) and it was the hardest and biggest step of my life but I am glad I did it! I do give you that! You will learn life very differently but its fun! First year is only the hardest, if you are planing to attend college within flying distance may be to ease yourselves by planing to fly home/drive/bus/train every three ish months may be!

Roshini recommends the following next steps:

I would recommend visiting a college may be a drive away from home and rent/share a room for a month, audit classes it could give insight on yourselves how you are able to handle staying away from home.
You can also try weekend/ part time colleges
