How do you find enjoyment in doing the same thing for most of your life (career wise)?
For instance, working as a teacher for 30 years, does that provide contentment and short term joy? Just curious.

As someone who has changed jobs throughout my career I can say you don't have to stick with one job/one role/one company in order to be happy. When I look back at all the roles I've had there are common threads like being able to help develop others, being a leader in ways that make work better for people, and doing work that has purpose and meaning to me. In every job I've had I can connect it to the things I value and that is what I have found makes me happy.
On the flip side I know folks who went to school and got into the exact career they planned for and have been in it since. Those folks have also been really happy with their choice. For some a clear path and clear goals have led them to happiness. For me, it was being able to change, evolve, and grow that made me happy.
I also agree with the comment Tony left that no one dies wishing they'd worked more/spent more time at work. Work is a piece of our lives, yes a big one at times, but it's not all of our life if we don't want it to be. Some folks work to live and others live to work. Neither is necessarily wrong but you do have to figure out what that looks like for you and your goals. Don't be afraid to try something and change if it doesn't work out. Life can be an adventure and a journey if you let it.
Best of luck to you!

Honestly, even if someone sticks with the same job, like teaching, for 30 years, it doesn’t mean it’s the same every day. New students, new challenges, new ways to grow—it keeps things fresh. Plus, if you really care about what you’re doing, the purpose and impact can bring a lot of joy and fulfillment over time. So yeah, it can definitely be meaningful and enjoyable!!

Your Profession, Job, Skill, Trade will feed you. Some have small appetites and others have huge appitites. That measure is only counts at the office, but one with faith, family and friends, really have it all.
Positions of employment, degrees and noteriety only satify ones ego. the more ego you have the less faith, family & friends you'll probably appreciate. Your time which is much more valuable than money must be used wisely.
I learned that after I retired, when my wife fell ill and we almost lost her.
No mans last words on this Earth has very been, "I should have spent more time at work!"
Enjoy doing what you do Ahmed, for that will help you keep everyone that you love in a good place, and keep a place under your feet.
As it should be.
