How do you succeed in a college program that doesn’t accommodate adult learners or working students?

I work full-time night shifts while attending college, and my program isn’t built for students like me. When I asked administration about flexibility, I was told that “school needs to be the priority.” I understand that perspective, but it's not always realistic when you're supporting yourself. It’s exhausting trying to keep up, and I feel like I’m constantly behind, even though I’m giving it everything I have. How do you stay motivated or advocate for yourself in these situations without being seen as making excuses?
