Hi Haley,
First and foremost, I want to congratulate you on your decision of wanting to go back to school. That's a big decision, and I commend you for this. You rock!
I'm already in my late 30s, and I always thought, if I could go back in time, I'd stay in school forever. When I was in my 20s, I couldn't shake off the feeling of, I can't wait to finish school and start my life, and now that I'm living my life, I think back to how much I enjoy learning and being in an school environment and wish it never ends.
Ok, enough about me.
Some of the budgeting tips that I could share are purchasing used books. I did this a lot when I was at school; I browsed around local bookstores for used books because they would cost at least 50% less than when they were new. FB Marketplace and also eBay are good resources to explore.
As for dining, I didn't live on campus, so I commute to/from school. For meals, I refer to the eatdrinkdeals.com site for daily deals, and I added a few of my favorite fast food chain apps to my phone so I can browse the offers/promotions that they have during the week to save on meal costs.
Matter of fact, these are the tips that I still use today. I love the idea of saving money and stretching the dollar to the fullest.
I hope this gives you some idea.
Best wishes,
Cathy
