As a bilingual student, what are the benefits of pursuing a degree as a speech-language pathologist? How much is the pay compared to those who are monolingual? #Spring25
I will be entering grad school and I am thinking about my future.

Alyn;
I do not work in this field, but have several family members and friends in the educational system. A Bilingual speech pathologist may get a higher pay salary dependent on the demand in the specific geographical region. As example; A German bilingual speech pathologist may not be in such high demand in Florida or Arizona. Although as Spanish speech pathologist would.
That being said, you should be pursuing a career because you have a passion or interest in the subject. Salary's grow with your experience and discovery in your field of study. I really can't think of an example for you at this time in speech pathology, but maybe you develop a new learning process which can be marketed to schools or mass distributed. Maybe you go on Shark Tank (winking)
Good Luck in your future endeavors
