It's about to be my first year in college, what should I bring with me?

I'm curious what I should bring with me in the sense of things in my apartment, room decor, small necessities that we overlook sometimes.

student ID, health insurance card, financial aid info, bank cards, etc.Notebooks, pens, highlighters, sticky notes.
Toothbrush/toothpaste
Shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash
Razor, deodorant, lotion
Everyday wear (t-shirts, jeans, etc.)
Undergarments & socks
Athletic wear & shoes
Jacket or coat (depending on climate)
Pajamas.
Business casual outfit (just in case

Hello Adin!

Congratulations on going to college soon, this is a great achievement and I hope you're excited about this next step in your schooling.

My advice to you would be to take note of what items you utilize throughout your "regular" day at home and translate it to your dorm/housing at your school. Make note of the things you can buy in bulk and bring with you versus small items you may have to get at or near your college. For example, do you have laundry in your dorm/housing or are you going to have to buy a hamper, detergent, bring change etc. and go to a laundromat? Do you have any sentimental items you want to keep with you when you are homesick? What will help you feel grounded while in a completely new environment?
