Hi Heather,
I recommend asking the bursar office about any scholarships and work study programs that your university might provide. You may qualify for FAFSA.

I am glad to hear you are still moving towards your college diploma, along with being a single mom.
Question: Are you working currently? Have you looked within that company to see if you qualify for any tuition assistance programs.
If you are still in high school, have you spoken to your guidance counselor about scholarships and grants which you may qualify for?
Just a Google search for College funds for Single Parent in Oceanside, CA returned:
" The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Program offers financial assistance to graduating high school seniors in Oceanside, especially those from low-income families. Additionally, California Student Aid Commission programs like Cal Grant and Students With Dependent Children (SWD) Grant can provide financial aid. Single parents may also qualify for federal aid like the Federal Pell Grant. "
Be creative: Is there a professional that is looking for a nanny or caregiver during working hours. Maybe you barter with them that you will care for their child, if you can have your child there also and they in turn pay for college.
I know this is going to be a challenge, I wish you well.

Hi Heather!
It's fantastic that you want to keep learning. Here are some steps you can take:
1. Find a Sponsor: Look for organizations, both public and private, that offer sponsorship programs. Check their requirements to see if you qualify.
2. Tuition Assistance: As Donna mentioned, some companies help pay for tuition once you start working there. I used this option to get my MBA.
3. Networking Events: If you're unsure about the above options, attend networking events related to your college or career interests. Like in sports, there might be "scouts" looking for talented individuals who match your profile.
