Great question! I also studied accounting and have been at a Big 4 Firm for more than 20 years. These firms attract some of the best and brightest graduates. For me, it's been incredibly rewarding to work with talented peers, learn from them, and push each other to achieve our goals.

It's a very team-focused job and gives you a chance to gain deep industry knowledge for the clients you help. When I finished college, I planned to use this experience to eventually move into a role within the industry. However, the exciting environment, constant changes, and growth opportunities at such a large firm have kept me in public accounting for over 20 years, making it a truly fulfilling career.

Working in audit at a public accounting firm is an exciting journey where each day brings something new, keeping the job lively and engaging. You'll gain insights into various business operations, which strengthens your knowledge of real-world finance and operations. While the hours can be long, especially during the busy season, the support of a great team makes it manageable. It's a dynamic environment where you learn a lot as you go. Remember, no one expects you to know everything from the start. What truly counts is your curiosity and willingness to learn.
