What can I do as a Mom of two going back to school full time to succeed in getting my degree for medical billing?

I am 26 with two kids one 2 year old and a 4 month old baby. I'm going back to school after taking an almost 3 year break to figure out what I wanted to do.

Congratulations Persephone!

There will be days that are challenging while juggling young ones and school. My advice to you would be to make sure that you block out time for your assignments each day. Whether it is a window after they have gone to bed or if you have support that can watch your children for an hour or two a couple of times a week. Also, make sure that you are taking care of yourself as well as you are taking care of your little ones. Good sleep is crucial for busy days.

Hi Persephone,
You are taking on a big challenge, but please know that the effort is worth it!
I went back to college as a full time student at age 50. I was also working full time to pay the bills and provide health insurance for my 2 children who were in their late teens. I created a schedule for my classes and school work in the evenings that worked best for me. Your 2 little ones will make this challenging for you, but once you have the right schedule in place, you'll find it easier to complete school work, while juggling your other responsibilities. Stick with it and make adjustments as you need to so you can enjoy time with your kids that are at such great ages with so much to look forward to!
The time of juggling college and family will go by quicker than you expect and will be so worth it for you and your family. You can do it!

Karla’s Answer

Take it one step at a time. Motherhood is a wonderful teacher of patience. You'll achieve your goal, but it may take a bit longer, and that's perfectly okay!

Try to have some familiar support in case something unexpected happens with your kids such as sickness or holidays at school.
