PwC’s Answer

- Being passionate about my clients and their needs - thinking beyond the boundaries of our scope - has helped me continue to push forward on what we can do to help them.

- Originally I was a math guy. Went to school but then in the workforce I needed to work with product designers. It wasn’t about the math anymore it was about the form of the product. I had to learn how to take different perspectives (logical versus emotional) to get to the best answer. I believe that the best answers come when logical math and emotional creativity come together.

- Be bold. Think big and challenge assumptions. Agile mind-sets help drive disruptive change.

PwC’s Answer

- Understanding what the client wants that they are saying and the hidden agenda helps me creatively craft how we can help to help the client grow and address the hidden agenda. Ideate and Create New Solution Ideas that do not exist in the current landscape. Being curious drives innovation.

- You have to find a way to stand out from a big pool of people that are just like you. You have to create a calling card for yourself. For me, it has always been coming up with new ideas to bring to customers that they have never seen before. I built websites or wireframes showing customers what their business could look like if they really did something wild and crazy. Now, you can vibe code these types of things so quickly and show really cool and innovative AI solutions. Most people don't come up with these cool ideas, so the people that do can really set themselves apart. Don't ask for permission to create something cool. Just create it and then announce it to the world as something useful to sell new projects. Come up with something that looks like magic. Aim for Mars, not the moon.

Desiree’s Answer

I currently oversee a training team at a financial services company. At first glance, it might seem difficult to find creative roles within financial services; however, a role in learning & development allows you to creatively solve problems for our business units that need training solutions. You're also able to use your creative juices when developing content such as e-learning, infographics, creating presentations that are visually appealing. When colleagues are struggling with creating presentations that are visually appealing, I've been able to help support with creative ways to present the information and many are appreciative of that skill-set.

PwC’s Answer

Creativity has helped me become a go-to resource for colleagues who are looking for ways to move processes forward more efficiently. I’m often sought out for input on how to streamline tasks or create new strategies to address challenges, and my team values the perspective I bring to ensure solutions are both effective and practical.

Creativity has helped me stand out but making me a 'go to' person when it comes to designing.

Creativity has helped me stand out by allowing me to contribute unique ideas and perspectives that others might overlook. It has enabled me to propose novel solutions during brainstorming sessions and develop initiatives that drive positive change within the organization. This proactive, inventive approach has led to increased responsibilities and recognition from leadership, helping me grow professionally and build a reputation as a problem solver and innovator.

Creativity helps with delivering work more efficiently, which in turn helps with growth. Being able to work differently is not always encouraged in traditional organizations

- I am a professional musician who became a tax accountant. Two very different worlds! But I have found that music can really help motivate me and the people around me, and there’s a rhythm to finding healthy work-life balance that I might not have gotten without my music background.

- Creativity has helped me stand out by enabling my team to not develop the expected answer to a complex problem, but a different, nuanced approach that differentiated us from others.

- Throughout my career I have continuously innovated by inventing new ways to help clients Through new ways to solve problems, new technologies, new ideas, new ways to tell a story. that is a form of creativity that comes to life in business.

PwC’s Answer

Empathy in understanding different users and perspectives moving towards one shared goal.

I think my teammates recognize my creativity and tend to turn to me for brainstorming ideas or finding ways to solve complex problems. In a previous role, one of the directors at my old firm directed a partner to me after he initially came to her with an idea of a new newsletter he wants to set-up. The newsletter involved some complicated back-end planning to utilize public bankruptcy filings. She told him that if anyone could figure out how to develop something like this out, it would be me. And I did. We launched "On the Auction Block" and I think Drinker Biddle still puts it out today.

I travelled a non-traditional and used a lot of creativity to get my education and experience. I continue to use creativity to adapt my skills to be useful in the PwC setting and to be creative in learning to apply my time using resources available to make the most of the opportunities available to me here.

I'm able to map out a process by mapping it to something I'd understand easily and it helps me add value to it as well.

It has enabled me to work more efficiently, help my team save time, and it has transformed me into a go-to problem solver.

PwC’s Answer

Creativity has been a key differentiator in my career because it allows me to approach challenges in ways that aren’t always expected. By rethinking how we design experiences—whether for clients, teams, or in the community —I’ve been able to deliver outcomes that feel fresh, engaging, and memorable.

It has also helped me grow as a leader. Using creative problem-solving within the firm has positioned me as someone who can navigate ambiguity, connect dots across teams, and design solutions that make processes smoother and more impactful. Creativity in storytelling has strengthened how I communicate ideas, building influence and trust with stakeholders.

Most importantly, my focus on a human-centered approach has helped me create environments where people feel heard and valued. That not only elevates experiences for others but has also helped me earn opportunities to lead bigger, more complex initiatives.
