Why consider a career in AI if AI itself reduces job prospects?

Should I consider a career in technology, with a focus in AI data or is the advent of AI in and of itself make this concept irrelevant?

Hi Nicholas. While AI is changing the job market, it is also creating new opportunities that did not exist before. Instead of avoiding AI, learning about it can actually make you more valuable in the modern workforce. Understanding how AI works, how to use it, and how to guide it responsibly can open many doors in technology and beyond.

AI is not only about replacing jobs but also about improving how people work. Machines are very good at doing repetitive or time-consuming tasks, but they still need humans to design, maintain, and interpret their results. For example, AI systems need data scientists to prepare and manage data, engineers to build algorithms, and analysts to explain what the results mean for businesses. By learning these skills, you can become one of the people who create and guide AI instead of being replaced by it. In this way, AI can enhance human potential rather than take it away.

A career in technology, especially in AI and data, is still very relevant. Every company today depends on data to make decisions, and AI helps turn that data into useful insights. This means that careers in data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, and AI ethics are growing rapidly. These fields require both technical knowledge and critical thinking skills.

People who can connect technology with human needs will always be in demand. Even if AI tools become more advanced, they still rely on human creativity, problem-solving, and ethical judgment. These are the skills that machines cannot replace. Hope this helps.
