How do I prepare for my career as an upcoming college student?
I'm graduating this year and I'm hoping to have a plan during the summer to prepare myself. It seems to be easy to apply for the college and become excited for what is coming.

If you're a high school grad preparing for college, make your summer productive to kickstart your career. Begin by exploring your major or interests with online courses on sites like Coursera or Khan Academy to gain basic knowledge. Seek internships, volunteer positions, or part-time jobs in your field to gain hands-on experience and strengthen your resume. Build your network by attending career fairs or joining LinkedIn to connect with alumni. Improve soft skills like time management and communication through books or workshops. Set goals for your first year, such as joining clubs related to your interests, to keep yourself focused.

I would look for volunteer opportunities that may align with your career interests, field of study, or even just personal interests! If you have time to travel, I think that can really help open your eyes too! See if you can set up coffee chats with friends' parents or people in your network who have careers that interest you!
