Hi Jonathan. You need to focus on gaining clarity through self-reflection. Ask yourself questions like: "What activities make me excited or lose track of time?" and "What problems do I enjoy solving?" Write down your answers and look for patterns. These reflections can help you see what matters most to you.
Talking to mentors, friends, or professionals in areas that interest you is also useful. They can give you real-life advice and help you understand what a career in that field is really like.
Next, you can try small experiments to test your interests. This could be internships, volunteer work, part-time jobs, online courses, or personal projects. These experiences let you see what you like and what you don't, without needing to make a permanent commitment. Even if something doesn't work out, you still gain skills and learn more about yourself.
It's also important to take small, consistent actions rather than expecting a complete plan overnight. You may set simple goals like researching a field, reaching out to someone for advice, or learning a new skill. Over time, these little actions help you understand your interests and strengths more clearly. All the best.

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. Firstly, you need to find out what careers you have interest.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Think about what you have interest, eg your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc and identify the related careers
Eg if you like maths, would you like to be an accountant engineer, banker, financial analyst, engineer, maths teacher, etc
If you have interest in music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
