How did you decide what you wanted to do with your degree?

I'm majoring in criminal justice but am still undecided on what I should do with my future profession. I've considered investigations, policework/FBI, something in a lab... There's just so much! How did you decide what you wanted to do with your degree? #Fall25

Hi Jacqueline: There is no reason you don't pursue all of them! I'd suggest you try to get a part time job - or volunteer - at a police station or FBI office and get your feet wet. Try out each area - see which one you like best. You'll know it when you land there. There are no easy answers for picking a career path. Best advice - keep moving forward. Keep an open mind and if you try something and don't like it move past it. It's like ice cream - how would you know you like ice cream if you never tasted it!
In the end, your career picks you. You'll find something and feel comfortable and it will all work out!
