What do I need to do to get my foot in the door to Child Life Specialist field early ?
I am a Social Work student and I have no idea where to start with Child Life because I have a hard time finding people near me that are in the feild.

Thank you for your question. I always recommend doing volunteer work. That way you can start gaining experience, to be sure this is really what you want to do. Sometimes if you work for a non-profit and you do well, you might get hired. That has happened to me twice!! Also, think about becoming a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), where you can connect and meet other Social Workers who are in the desired field.
