Hi Bethenny,
certainly, it will not be easy to start a career at 14. As you progress in your education, you'll realize that the more you learn the more you are able to help others. In social work, you should set your sights on getting a master's degree to be in a position to do the best for people. With an MSW, you can do a wide variety of things from being a mental health therapist to working with government welfare programs with a lot in between.
But let's talk about your specific question. At 14 I would recommend looking for volunteer opportunities with local not-for-profit organizations that may be working with children. This will give you a terrific amount of experience, expose you to a lot of the needs in the social work area, and help you build a network of people that can help you as you pursue your career.
