Hi Hector. What helps most isn't just studying harder, but studying smarter and building habits that keep you consistent without burning out.
The most important thing is to have a study schedule. You need to treat school like any other job and set aside specific times each week to study. Whether you study in the mornings, evenings, or weekends, make it a routine. Keep your study sessions short (can aim for 30 to 60 minutes at a time), so you don't get overwhelmed.
Flashcards are a great tool for remembering key facts, especially in subjects that need memorization. Your study environment is also important. If you can, invest in a good pair of noise-canceling headphones to block out distractions. This is especially helpful if you're studying at home or in a noisy place. If home is too distracting, try studying at a library or a quiet coffee shop. These places help you focus and create a better study atmosphere.
Instead of just reading or watching videos, you can try "active learning". This means engaging with the material by taking notes, pausing videos to summarize what you learned, or teaching the material to someone else (even if it's just to yourself). Active learning helps you remember things better and makes studying more effective. Hope this helps. All the best.
