What to do the summer before University?

I'm about to finish my first semester of Senior year. There's so much to plan ahead regarding scholarships, housing, etc. I'm trying to figure out what I should do for next summer to be fully prepared.

Hi Adriana, this is an exciting time for you! To stay organized, try using a planning tool or system. You can use Excel, a planner, or any tool that helps you track tasks and timelines. This will help you feel more in control and see what needs to be done first. My daughters found this very helpful during their own transitions.

Remember to enjoy your final semester of high school. There will be lots to celebrate as you finish the year. It's also helpful to compare notes with classmates. Working together can help you catch things you might miss on your own.

If you know which university you'll attend, check their website for incoming students. They often have resources to connect with others and learn about housing and other options. Look out for webinars or info sessions—they're worth attending.
