Hi Isabelle. When you're trying to find jobs or internships that will support your education, the most important thing is to look for opportunities that help you build skills, gain experience, and explore your interests.

First, you need to think about what skills you want to learn. Many jobs that support your education don't have to be directly related to your major. For example, customer service jobs teach communication, time management, and problem-solving. Office or administrative jobs teach organization, teamwork, and professionalism. If you want to study psychology, education, social sciences, or business, these skills are very helpful. Jobs like tutoring, mentoring younger students, or working in childcare also give experience in communication and responsibility.

Another good option is internships. Internships can be paid or unpaid, short-term or long-term. Even small internships can help you explore your interests and learn about a career. You can check with your school counselor, college career centers, or local nonprofit organizations. Even if the job isn't exactly in your field, it gives you real work experience and helps you see what you enjoy.

It also helps to use your network. You can talk to teachers, counselors, family, and friends, tell them you are looking for jobs or internships that will support your education. Sometimes, people know about opportunities that aren't posted online. Hope this helps. All the best.

Ed’s Answer

You can go on the American Physical Therapy Association's website or go to the National Strength and Conditioning Association's website too. Volunteer at a local hospital or physical therapist's office.
Know yourself.
Follow your heart and don't do something just because it pays well. You have to have a genuine interest to help others.

Jane’s Answer

Hi Isabelle,
To start, decide what you want to learn and ask yourself: What skills or experiences will help you succeed in your field? If you are studying sports management or business, try to get involved in areas like team operations, marketing, sponsorships, analytics, or athletics. If your interest is in sports science or injury prevention, look for opportunities in research labs, athletic training rooms, or biomechanics projects. You can also find jobs or internships that support your education, such as working with college sports teams in areas like operations, marketing, or event management. This helps you understand how sports organizations work daily. Additionally, contact your college's career center, as they often have partnerships with local teams, gyms, and sports companies. Networking is also important; connect with professors, alumni, and professionals on LinkedIn in the sports industry. Joining professional groups like NASSM (North American Society for Sport Management) or NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) can help you find internships and opportunities. Finally, consider joining local sports teams or clubs, including minor league or community sports groups, as they offer valuable experience and help you learn more about the sports industry.
I hope this helps, wishing you all the best.
