What I want is to be a indie music artist but don't know what apps are good for good quality and good price or free, respectively. Got any apps I could use?
Let me know what you think.

I have used Ableton Live, also of course Garage Band. I have heard the Splice mobile app is good but never used it myself. I would highly recommend checking out the r/musicproduction sub reddit. Lots of great resources there.

Hello Mal. To produce your own music, you need a DAW (digital audio workstation), microphone(s), and an audio interface. There are quite a few DAW's out there so you need to research and find out which one is best for what music you are recording. I also use a synthesizer and hand held percussion instruments that I record into the DAW.
When composing music, I use Splice which has tons of different samples that are recorded very well. These samples can add a lot to your music and provide inspiration to create music. I also use Canva to add video to some of my music as well.
Hope this helps. Good luck composing music.

Rock on! I would suggest an alternate route - rather than relying on an app - go old school ! what are us using to record with? are you using any analog instruments? After playing around with this for a while - and then blending what results with something you've been working on in an app - could create some really interesting results - go for it!
