How do I make business owners interested in my application?

A tracking tool for mostly warehouse owners, it records sales, profits, show your remaining stock, and also prints receipts automatically for your customers

Thank you comment icon To capture a warehouse owner's interest, your pitch must pivot from "features" to "solving headaches." Most owners care about two things: saving time and preventing loss. In your application, emphasize automated efficiency. Focus on how your tool eliminates human error by printing receipts and updating stock in real-time. This "one-click" workflow solves the common nightmare of mismatched inventory. Highlight the data-driven growth aspect; by instantly showing sales and profit margins, you allow owners to make faster buying decisions without digging through messy spreadsheets. To stand out, offer a frictionless demo. Warehouse owners are busy; show them a 30-second video of the automated receipt printing and stock deduction. Clarence
Thank you comment icon Yes I tried, but I don't know, it seems their reaction is a bit stiff, and I did follow up with them, but then again I was advised to stop seeing myself as someone who wants to sell rather someone who created what benefits and relief their stress Azeezat
Thank you comment icon Hello Azeezat! I am adding some other opinions on how to market your application. Recently, there have been a lot of platforms that connect publishers and business owners to promote their products and services. I have encountered two of them recently, one in Europe, AWIN, and Impact.com for North America, and the other part of the world. Those platforms are unified platforms for managing affiliates, influencers, and referrals, streamlined partnerships for brands. I am thinking of trying to work as a freelancer publishers - nomad digital. So this is another opportunity to promote your application. Good luck! Isida Mici

Hi Azeezat! Your tracking tool sounds like it solves a real problem for warehouse owners, and that's already a great starting point. The key to getting business owners interested is to stop talking about features and start talking about their pain points, because at the end of the day, they don't care about what your app does, they care about what it does for them. Lead with the value: does it save them time, reduce errors, prevent stock shortages, or help them make more money? Put real numbers behind it if you can, even estimates, because business owners respond to that. From my own experience, I've spent a big part of my career doing exactly this kind of thing. I've delivered sales demos to prospective customers for supply chain and transportation software, and the ones that landed were always the ones where we showed the client how the tool would solve their specific problem, not just a generic pitch. I've also worked on transportation and supply chain systems where we helped businesses manage suppliers, track inventory, and improve their operations, and the common thread was always making the value crystal clear upfront. My advice would be to offer free trials or live demos where you walk warehouse owners through the tool using their actual data, so they can immediately see the impact. Get testimonials from your first few users, even if they're small, because social proof goes a long way. Visit local markets and warehouses in person if you can, since that personal touch builds trust fast. And make sure your pitch is simple: "This tool tracks your sales, shows your remaining stock in real time, and prints receipts automatically so you never lose track of your money." Keep it practical, keep it relatable, and you'll get their attention. Keep going!
