How to switch my major to pre-nursing from just accepted into computer information systems. If there's not enough space how can I get my classes aligned with nursing without falling behind Also, if I'm trying to become a icu nurse what experience can I get in my first year of college? So I will be accepted in a residency program after I graduate.?
I'm a high school senior looking to get out of the tech field and get into medical to become a crna.

Hi Alana, I'm unsure how to change your college major. Isn't your freshman year usually basic college credits? Perhaps talk to your high school/college advisor. Slow down and regroup, you have time to get this all done. To start now to help later, learn medical terminology, and learn the categories of medications - look these up on youtube. Second, get a job at the hospital. Get your CNA license and work in ICU through your college years. Be great at it, learn all you can and then see if you can shadow anesthesiology in endoscopy. When working in the hospital, know that you are interviewing for a job with each staff you interact with. Be on your friendliest, courteous, physically clean, polite, professional and helpful self when you are at work. These are the people who will write your recommendation for your residency application. Be known as the person people enjoy working with and they will help you reach your goal. Good luck.
