If you can, aim to attend a good college. A strong university offers better resources, strong networks, and more opportunities for internships and career growth.

While it's okay to have doubts, going to college—especially a good one—remains a reliable path to better career development and personal growth.

Hi Francis, College may not be for you. Many people choose a career, go in debt, to realize it's not what they really want to do but are stuck. College will always be there. You can always go to college and people of all ages get college degrees and jobs. Research what you want to do. Where do you want to work? Perhaps, learn a trade-work and then start your own business. What type of personal support do you have? Do you have a place to live while you work and save up? Don't discount factory work, employees make a good living working in factories. Working as a young adult helps you to hone your social skills with people you don't know well. Helps you to practice good communication and how to be part of a team and/or learn to work independently and be responsible for the results of that work. It is a confidence booster. Workplace staff understand that young adults are learning how to manage workplace challenges and give them extra leeway to learn. Take advantage of that. Allow yourself to mature and learn about yourself. You have the rest of your life to work, consider taking the time now to work toward what is best for you. For life success, stay out of debt and make good choices to save the money you've worked for, save it for you. Good luck.
