Is it possible to take a gap year or not attend college at all and still be successful?
A well-planned gap year can increase maturity, improve college performance, and provide career clarity. Success without a degree is also achievable through skilled trades, entrepreneurship, and professional certifications, though a degree often provides a faster, clearer career pat

One of my coworkers did college "what he could pay for is what he took". This had him taking a couple of classes at a time, working to pay for school, and it took him six and a half years of time to work and pay for school. He had a cousin who took out a loan and was out of school in four years that made fun of him for taking too long. In the end, my coworker had six and a half years of work experience, no student loans, and a degree. His cousin had two years work experience, student loans, and a degree. His cousin also had a problem with getting a job right away, he also had a problem finding a job in the field of his degree.
Employers don't really care how long it took for someone to get a degree. They care more about are you qualified for the work and a fit for the company. If you have a plan other than school that will help you personally or professionally, adding an extra year before graduating is not a big deal. Plan your time so it works for you best.
