How to get into a good law firm after graduating from law school?

I’ve been wondering about the tedious task of eventually applying to try to get into a good law firm. Of course I know you have to have a good LSAT score and graduate from credited law school, but I also hear all the time about careers needing real world experience. I’ve thought about the sender to this being to apply for internships , but when should I start. I’m currently wrapping up my second year of college and work in a restaurant. I want to get a jump on my career and have the best chances to succeed. So, the big question is when is the best time to apply for internships and how to find good internships or ways to get my feet wet before I get my bachelors. #spring26

One thing law firms love is experience with a judge. I would go to different courthouses and just inquire in person. I see you are in Richmond, VA, and have proximity to DC, so finding legal guidance and opportunity will be abundant to you. So getting experience with 3-4 different courts will make you stand out from the rest of the pack.
