Hello.

This is a great question but we would need some more details:

1. Will you have a job? About how much does it pay?
2. Do you already have savings?
3. How much is tuition, books, etc?
4. Are there any grants/scholarships you can apply for?

There are some general tips of saving money.

Housing is the most expensive, so getting a roommate (or several, like I did) is key to keep costs down. Housing should be less than 30% of your monthly income.

For food, you can do meal plans or meal prep to help save money. Adding 1 can of beans or 1 cup of lentils to 1lb of meat helps create more volume of food for cheap. Adding in rice (also fairly cheap) helps keep you full. From there you can add fruits and vegetables to keep a balanced diet. 90% of your food budget should be this, the other 10% can be snacks or save it up to go out. Making your own snacks is a great way to save money. There are plenty of recipes online for all of this. We want to prevent impulse buying food.
