Loved your enthusiasm on making college great. I think college is a beautiful time in life, and keeping the door open to new experiences was, for me, the key to having a better time there.
Keep in mind that change is something that will be with us forever, so it's better to be open to it.
There will be times when you will have to do things that you don't like at first, like starting a conversation or talking to someone about a class or project. Sometimes those little approaches can lead to a friendship or fun times, so I think making peace with taking the initiative could be helpful.
Wish you the best of lucks.

Great you are thinking about how to balance your life! One thought is to make a list of your priorities for the next few years. For example, to do well in school (perhaps identify a gpa you would like to maintain) and/or to participate in at least two group activities (identify things you are interested in whether sports, academics, etc.).
Managing your time can simply be watching how you're spending your time and allowing a certain number of hours each day for various activities -- studying, socializing, etc. If you are following your own plan, your stress should be minimal.
Another suggestion is to try volunteering for a variety of organizations which will open up new friend possibilities while giving you a sense of giving back and gaining new skills/experiences.
With every good wish and many blessings,
Karen
