What is the most challenging part of becoming a speech language pathologist and what do you wish you had known before starting your education and career #Spring26?

I will be a freshman majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with plans of getting a master's in Speech Language Pathology to become a certified SLP.

Hi there.
The most challenging about becoming a speech pathologist was juggling home, work and college (master’s). But it was so worth the sacrifices. Get right into your masters after your bachelor’s. I chose to work in the school district and will be retiring soon with 30 years into the retirement system. I also work with adults in home health setting which I could keep doing on a part-time basis. Keep your doors open.
