What does a mindstorm ev3 do?

Lego Mindstorms EV3 is the third generation robotics kit in Lego's Mindstorms line. It is the successor to the second generation Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 kit. The "EV" designation refers to the "evolution" of the Mindstorms product line.

Mindstorm combines robotics with Legos. The Legos allow for an easy build. The build design is centered around a programmable brick. This brick allows for various sensors and motors to be attached. These sensors and motors allow for the movement and interaction. There is a front end UI that allows for programming the brick and associated devices.
