I am currently pursuing an Associate in Business Management to support moving up in the company that I work for.

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your question.

First, learn to manage your time properly. Block out non-negotiable time: work hours, study time, childcare routines, also leave 30 mins everyday to yourself as "me time" for recharging. You could prioritize tasks with Eisenhower Matrix, focus on urgent and important task with high priority, then important task.

Second, improve study efficiency and use micro-study sessions, for example, you can use 15-20 minutes during commute or lunch break to complete one study task. Prioritize high-impact task, focus on assignments and topics that contribute most to your grades first, but not try to master every details at once.

As single parent, for sure you are facing unexpected conflicts, but still recommend you to set clear boundaries between roles, turn off work/school notifications outside of dedicated hours to avoid constant mental switching, keep high focusing. At work, avoid overcommitting to extra projects unless they directly align with your career or education goals. At home, create a dedicated study space where you can focus. Communicate your "do not disturb" time to your child in age-appropriate ways, it's good practice to keep you focus and your child grow.

Keep a rest time each week, such as "low-effort day", where you can skip non-essential chores, order takeout and only do the bare minimum. Be kind to yourself, don't stress yourself out, actually it's even okay to ask for extensions on assignments if you are overwhelmed, or to take a lighter course load in a difficult semester. In fact you don't need to play as super parent or perfect student and employee. Be easy on yourself.

The greatest courage is we still keep moving forward optimistically although we realize we have to struggle daily.
Best wishes to you and good luck.🤗
