How can I get more hands on animal experience oppurtunties for vet school?
I am worried about getting into vet school because of the high competion and want to make myself as eligable as possible.

If you’re able to, I would try to working at a clinic if you haven’t already. Volunteer opportunities are a good way to get experience, but just be careful about animal handling at an organization that won’t cover workers comp. Working at a clinic would be your best bet to get the experience with people who would hopefully train you as well. Vet schools like a diverse range of experience. If there are any veterinary clubs/ animal related maybe consider joining those too. If not an existing club maybe make one, a volunteer club for the shelter or local humane society.
